New t.A.T.u. album, which should be out not long before the New Year, is called \u201cWaste Management\u201d\u2026 The movie \u201cFinding t.A.T.u.\u201d based on the events from Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina\u2019 lives, has Anton Yelchin and Mischa Barton in the cast\u2026 Fresh music video \u201cBeliy Plashik\u201d (\u201cWhite Robe\u201d) was filmed in Los Angeles\u2026 Yulia Volkova and her boyfriend Parvis are waiting for a baby\u2026 All this information fell on Elle Girl Katya Marulina in the first five minutes of their talk with Yulia and Lena. Elle Girl: Girls, we haven\u2019t heard about you for a long time, and now so many things all at once! The movie, the album, the video\u2026 Tell us about it!<\/p>\n
Yulia: Since we parted with Ivan Shapovalov, we have to do everything ourselves. Well, that\u2019s what we wanted, but it turned out to be not that easy to choose songs, arrangements for an album, the image in general\u2026<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: The filming of Finding t.A.T.u. was a reason for an actress Mischa Barton to come to Moscow. Did you have a chance to hang out? How did you like the foreign star?<\/p>\n
Yulia: Mischa Barton \u2013 and so what? She\u2019s just a girl, there are no \u201cwow!\u201d, maybe because we got used to it already, seen many stars. But we\u2019re not main characters in the movie \u2013 it\u2019s about two girls, who are looking for each other and meet at our show\u2026 By the way, Mischa Barton has two dogs at home and keeps telling everybody about it. And I have three and I keep silence. A complete glamorous set: York, Chihuahua and red setter. Two live with my mom, and one \u2013 with us, with me and Parvis. And we plan to have one more.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: When I ask a question, it\u2019s Yulia who immediately answers. Why not Lena?<\/p>\n
Yulia: It\u2019s just because\u2026 Oops, again me\u2026 Lena, you answer! Lena: I just talk much slower and don\u2019t try to talk before her anymore. And Yulia, she\u2019s always \u201cblah-blah-blah\u2026\u201d and that\u2019s it, she\u2019s answered, \u201cnext question, please!\u201d<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: What else is so different in you two?<\/p>\n
Lena: Everything! We live with our own families, each one has her own company, we do different free time. I like to read, right now it\u2019s Dostoevsky\u2019s \u201cStepanchikovo Village\u201d, for example. I like his language so much! So clear to me! And you hardly meet Yulia with a book. Just maybe with some Oksana Robski!<\/p>\n
Yulia: What do I need these books for? I like to talk with people, I love life, I don\u2019t like made-up stories. I can even watch \u201cDom-2\u201d, ha-ha! (\u201cDom-2\u201d \u2013 a popular reality show in Russia considered\u2026 um\u2026 silly\u2013 tatu.ru ) Just because they show real people there! And also Lenka has no tattoos, and I have five: two in Arabic (\u201cpassionate love\u201d on the back), Japanese one on the arm (\u201cdragon\u201d), hieroglyph \u201cmy family\u201d on the neck, and \u201cVictoria\u201d on the leg, in honor of my daughter). Lena, she\u2019s for natural things, she believes that \u201cwe must keep what nature created\u201d. She always has a hands cream in her bag. I bet she has it now.
\nLena: I do. Want some?
\nYulia: See! No, thanks!<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: Yulia, you\u2019re experiencing your second pregnancy. Is it different compared to the first one?<\/p>\n
Yulia: Sure! The major thing \u2013 it\u2019s planned. But I deny myself nothing \u2013 no special diets, nothing like that. I think my baby is alright with me.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: There\u2019s a rumor in the Internet that you want to give birth and broadcast this process on the internet. Is that true? <\/p>\n
Yulia: You\u2019re kidding me. Do I look like the person who can let it happen? I said it as a joke long ago, and journalists exaggerated as usually\u2026 What a terrible thing. Like I don\u2019t have anything else to do.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: And how do you plan to celebrate a New Year party?<\/p>\n
Yulia and Lena (in one voice): At home!
\nLena: No wish to go somewhere, enough of that. We lived in America for half a year, recently had vacations \u2013 Yulia and Parvis went to Cyprus, I went to Italy. So, enough of planes.
\nYulia: New Year party is a family day. We\u2019ve never had to play shows on this time, from 31st to 1st. It\u2019s ok to play gigs the day before, but on the New Year night we leave it to Dima Bilan perform.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: By the way, are you friends with any of our pop-stars?<\/p>\n
Yulia: Well, it\u2019s Serezhka Lazarev, I think, who we can call our friend. And with others it\u2019s just \u201chi-bye\u201d relationships. Generally in show business everybody is on its own.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: And would you like to take part in some TV show like \u201cIce Age\u201d or \u201cCircus With Stars\u201d?<\/p>\n
Yulia: Well, they\u2019ve invited us, but I personally don\u2019t understand it. If I want to skate I take skates and go to Serebryaniy Bor Ice Rink. And I don\u2019t need to be compared with others. What for?<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: Your \u201cBeliy Plaschik\u201d video was filmed in Los Angeles. Why there?<\/p>\n
Yulia: Because the people we need to work on our video live there. In our time in the US we managed to meet many talented people. By the way, I was \u201crepairing\u201d my voice there, which I hurt while recording our first album. I was taught not how to sing, but how to sing safely\u2013 so that I could sing a whole concert without damage to my vocal ligaments.
\nLena: It\u2019s different here in Russia: Let\u2019s say, there\u2019s a teacher Masha Tryapkina in Moscow, and the students she teaches sing exactly like Masha Tryapkina. And for us it\u2019s important to keep individuality.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: What is your new album about? Waste Management \u2013 sounds anti-glamorous.<\/p>\n
Lena: It\u2019s kind of a part two of \u201cLudi-Invalidi\u201d, our second album. We explained it many times that we call ludi invalidi all these cruel and mean human beings. And \u201cwaste\u201d in new album\u2019s name is the result of ludi invalidi\u2019s activity.<\/p>\n
Elle Girl: Our last question: I\u2019m very curious if you have accounts on the super popular web-site of meeting your classmates?<\/p>\n
Lena: I have several clones there! And no account. I go there sometimes, look what photos these clones post, who are their friends\u2026 I discovered some of my real friends\u2026 They ask, \u201cWe wrote you and you answered.
